Dr. Rohit Gupta

Semiconductor Marketing Manager

Meet Rohit Gupta. As a Semiconductor Marketing Manager in 3M's Electronics Vertical business, Rohit is responsible for driving growth in key semiconductor technologies, including Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) and advanced packaging solutions. Prior to moving into business leadership, he built a strong R&D career at 3M, where he developed bonding solutions for electric vehicle batteries in the Automotive and Aerospace Solutions Division and sustainable fluorine-free materials at the Corporate Materials Research Laboratory.

Rohit is passionate about sharing his enthusiasm for science with the next generation. He has served as a judge for the 3M Innovation Award at the Minnesota State Science and Engineering Fair and has mentored young scientists as part of several STEM mentoring initiatives. His scientific contributions have been recognized with multiple granted patents, the 3M Richard Drew Award, and the Corporate Circle of Technical Excellence & Innovation Award. He earned a Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a B.S.-M.S. in Chemical Sciences from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and traveling.

With a background in R&D developing materials for electric vehicle batteries and sustainable innovations, he combines technical expertise with business leadership. Rohit is an active STEM mentor and award-winning innovator with multiple patents, and he holds a Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
