Rodrigo Marmol

Meet Rodrigo. Rodrigo Marmol is originally from Caracas, Venezuela. At seventeen years of age, Rodrigo decided to move to the United States to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering and to play NCAA soccer. Rodrigo received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Saint Thomas, MN in 2016.
After completing his undergraduate degree in May 2016, Rodrigo started a role as Design Engineer at Power Engineering and Manufacturing. Rodrigo participated in multiple Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) development projects for large powersport companies.
In July of 2018, Rodrigo joined 3M as an Application Engineer for the Industrial Adhesives and Tapes Division where he focused on new application development, new product market introduction and existing product maintenance, testing, evaluating, qualifying, and implementing solutions to customer assembly challenges.
Today, Rodrigo is a Global Portfolio Manager, where he oversees the strategy and development of 3M's conductive pressure sensitive adhesive product portfolio on a global scale.
In addition, Rodrigo served as the chair to the global converter expertise chapter, collaborating with colleagues around the world to share knowledge on converting processes and 3M technology. Rodrigo’s leadership is not reserved only for scientific and engineering advances, but also for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Rodrigo has held multiple positions on the executive board for 3M’s Latino Resource Network, a 3M Employee Resource Group. Furthermore, Rodrigo served in the 3M Society of Hispanic and Professional Engineers Diversity Recruiting Team, leading the national convention efforts for the company.
Outside of work, Rodrigo enjoys traveling, spending time with family, working out, and making his own hot sauce.
