Aditya Banjeri

Meet Aditya Banerji. Aditya Banerji is a Senior Research Engineer in 3M’s Corporate Research Process Laboratory. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur with a B.Tech and a M.Tech in Chemical Engineering. He completed his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.

In 3M, Aditya specializes in developing and commercializing products leveraging new fiber processing techniques and to improve existing product manufacturing processes through careful design and execution of experiments in the lab. 3M’s nonwovens product portfolio spans a wide range of products, such as Scotch-Brite home and commercial cleaning scrubbing sponges, Filtrete furnace filters, N95 respirators, Nexcare wound dressings, and various filtration media to name a few. Aditya is a co-inventor on 16 3M invention submissions, resulting in 4 pending patent applications. During his Ph.D. research, Aditya worked on unique ultraviolet (UV) light mediated photopolymerized fiber processing to produce high-performance nonwoven webs in an energy-efficient manner. Aditya has co-authored 5 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact academic journals and his work has been cited more than 120 times.
