Gina Buccellato, PhD

Gina Buccellato is the Vice President of Research and Development responsible for the Corporate Research Analytical laboratory. She received her SB and MSCEP in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her PhD, also in Chemical Engineering, from the University of California, Berkeley. She joined 3M in the Traffic Control Division (TCM) in 1992. Gina held technical positions in TCM, the Advanced Materials Technology Center and the Safety and Graphic Business Group laboratories before transitioning to a management role in the Personal Safety Division (PSD). During her time in PSD, Gina held several leadership positions in both product and technology development. Beginning in 2013, Gina led the Welding Center of Excellence laboratory in Gagnef, Sweden. Upon returning from Sweden in 2015, Gina was appointed the Vice President and Technical Director for the Transportation Safety Division. She held this position until February of 2022. In March 2022, Gina moved to the Corporate Research Analytical Laboratory.
