Why did you enter the 3M Young Scientist Challenge?

I entered the 3M Young Scientist Challenge because of my passion for STEM research and environmental preservation, which this competition offers me a chance to showcase my findings and represent the innovative ideas I have toward tackling real-world problems.

What is your favorite invention of the last 100 years, and why?

One of my favorite inventions of the last 100 years is the smartphone. It has revolutionized communication, entertainment, work, and even our health. Apart from just being able to respond to texts and making calls, smartphones have integrated countless features like GPS, cameras, health tracking, and access to almost infinite information. They have also helped us to learn more about our world by allowing us to create a deeper connection to our planet and understand the possibilities of this world.

In 15 years I hope to be...

in a leadership role within a field I'm passionate about, driving innovation, mentoring others, and contributing to meaningful advancements that benefit not only my organization, but society as a whole in STEM.

"Dedication to discovery-the steps toward bridging the gap where innovation and preservation can thrive together."
