Robotic Swarms: Intelligent Network of Robots Performing Cooperative Tasks

About the Idea

Meet Samhita. Samhita designed and programmed multiple robots to mimic swarm intelligence to be used to accomplish complex tasks and collect data and information in the aid of healthcare, agriculture, construction, security and military operations.

Why did you enter the 3M Young Scientist Challenge?

I entered the Young Scientists Challenge to share my project to the world. I would love to receive feedback from 3M mentors that could assist me in improving the efficiency and capability of my project.

What is your favorite invention of the last 100 years, and why?

My favorite invention of the last 100 years is the Internet. This is because the Internet provides access to valuable information and connects people across the globe.

In 15 years I hope to be...

A roboticist. When I grow up, I want to further implement my knowledge on swarm intelligence into different projects using micro/nano robots.

You have never failed, you have just found ways not to succeed. If your idea or invention doesn’t work, don’t give up on it! Keep on trying; just remember that anything is possible!
