Smart and Reusable Packaging Solution for Online Order Shipments

About the Idea

Meet Aadrit. Aadrit developed a scalable and reusable shipping box that can be used for online order shipments to reduce or eliminate the use of oversized boxes and excess packing materials.

Why did you enter the 3M Young Scientist Challenge?

3M Young Scientist Challenge is known as a top event that brings together young people like me with new ideas and innovations to solve problems faced by societies by using engineering and scientific knowledge, and I have always been interested in exploring new ideas through scientific experiments. Since March last year, life has been different for me just like everyone else in this world trying to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic. Our family was relying more and more on online orders, and I started wondering if there is a better way to minimize this waste of materials. So I created a scalable and reusable shipping box.

What is your favorite invention of the last 100 years, and why?

The World Wide Web. The Web has become an integral part of life today. It has allowed me access to all the scientific and technical innovations that are going on in the world as well as exposed me to the issues that we need to solve for, such as sustainability, resource use, environmental protection, etc.

In 15 years I hope to be...

If I go for a post-graduate studies, I hope to be close to finishing my work and working on projects that benefit society. I hope to be a good person and a good citizen.

I have not failed. Ive just found 10,000 ways that will not work.
