Rishab - A Journey full of Adventure, Excitement, and Gratitude
Now that Summer is over and we’re back to school with a routine, the fun I have been having with my project is still rocking on! Along this adventure, I have had a myriad of challenges, great help, and exciting results. The best part of this process so far has been getting to see my prototype come to life. Using 3M computing resources, I could scale up my project by almost ten-folds! Getting results when training of my tool was finished was exciting. Concurrently, working at a remote location and trying to understand the environment and setup of some of these resources was challenging. Training my tool remotely, almost fifteen-hundred miles away, it would have been difficult but through my mentor’s advice on documentation and effective communications I could overcome this problem. However, it did not end here. I continued to conduct more experiments and refined my tool, a vital part of the engineering process.
This Summer, having a mentorship with a 3M scientist has meant a lot to me. It’s been an unbelievable experience and amazing opportunity. I have gotten many expert opinions and I have learned to think outside the box to come up with innovative solutions to problem-solve. I’ve always been able to get feedback and critique from Dr. Demirgöz and her willingness to help as well as kind word of encouragement, helped me continue on in my goal to cure pancreatic cancer. I will continue working on my innovation and will share more with you next time.
Thank you so much for keeping up with my journey so far and I can’t wait to see you in the next blog post.
